Dena DeRose

Dena DeRose is “The most creative and compelling singer – pianist since Shirley Horn” is how Washington DC critic Joel Siegel described her.  And critic Richard Scheinin aptly put it, “she exudes joy… what soul!”

From the legendary clubs around the world like the
Blue Note, Smoke and the Jazz Standard in New York, to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.,  she has brought vitality and innovation to performances alongside the likes of Ray Brown, Clark Terry, Benny Green, Ken Peplowski, John Clayton, Phil Woods, and many others.

As a recording artist, she has 12 CDs as a leader to her credit, and three Grammy considerations.  Alan Bargebuhr of “Cadence” magazine recently stated:
Dena is a “…stunningly talented pianist / vocalist.”
