Jay Leonhart is the Fred Astaire of jazz, a craftsman so seamlessly smooth that casual observers often fail to grasp the immensity of his talent.”
Don Heckman, LA Times

Jay has been recognized as a very accomplished bass player for a long time and been named “Outstanding Bassist In the Recording Industry” three times.  Over the years, he’s been writing and singing his own very individualistic songs about his life as a bass player.  He now performs his music worldwide to wildly enthusiastic audiences!

He’s performed with the likes of Judy Garland, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, Marian McPartland, Kenny Barron, James Taylor, and Luciano Pavoratti.  Good company.

He’s One-of-a-Kind… don’t miss this Jazz Icon!!!
