Joe Henderson was a superb tenor saxophonist, whose career spanned more than forty years. Beloved in the Bay Area, Joe recorded for the famous Blue Note label.
Graham Bruce studied at Boston’s Berklee School of Music. He played with the likes of George Coleman and Joe Henderson and also fronted his own bands: Boptek, Octagon and Palindrome. He recently produced and played a tribute to Miles Davis’ “Birth of the Cool” Nonet.
“Joe Henderson is right up there with the handful of jazz artists who defined the Bay Area jazz scene. Like similar tributes we have presented, this promises to take you back to a time when jazz music truly touched your soul.” – Bill Hart, Producer
