Members of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet (BIJQ) are winners of numerous DownBeat competitions, including multiple awards for “Best U.S. Collegiate Jazz Band.” They have performed at various Festivals including: Monterey, Playboy, and Detroit International. They’ve also done concerts across the nation and on a State Department tour in Spain.
BIJQ has performed in jazz clubs such as Yoshi’s – Oakland, Club Vibrato – LA, Blues Alley – DC, Jamboree Jazz Club – Barcelona, and Jazz Education conferences.
