Kristin returns to Napa and is loaded with surprises!
One of NVJS’s favorite guests over all these seasons, Kristin is one of those artists who make you forget that she is playing the bass when you hear her crystalline voice. And there is the Korb spirit, it’s flat out fun, and audiences are along for the ride. From Montana, she attended UCSD and found success there. A student of the great Ray Brown, love eventually transported the American bassist / vocalist to Denmark in 2011.
Kristin has been President of the International Society of Bassists, and has performed around the world. Her eighth CD is called “Beyond the Moon” and is inspired by obscure writings of genius Johnny Mercer.
The show features the outstanding reed performer Mary Fettig, the very first woman to play in the Stan Kenton Orchestra! Help celebrate women… be there!
